You will get instruction on different types of studio lighting techniques, including butterfly, rembrandt, loop (short) and split. I will demonstrate the effects of ratios, hair light, back light, side light, etc… Basic posing techniques, do’s and don’ts, hand placement and proper composition will be covered.

I will discuss the different types of lighting available; from studio strobes, portable strobe units to multiple dedicated flash strobes. This class will get you comfortable with understanding of how to control your lights. Great for the beginner and intermediate!

There will be 2 studio set-ups! One will be a Hi-Key and the other a warm toned hand painted background. This will give you the opportunity to practice with our models on each set. Get familiar with the lighting set up and how to light for Hi-Key on a budget. I will rotate each student from one set-up to another and guide you through light placement and metering for your shot.  This is not one of those classes where I tell you MY settings and leave you alone. I will explain how to properly meter for each set you will be shooting on. You will not find an opportunity like this in the state of Georgia at this price.

I will be providing everyone a packet with all the lighting techniques we will be covering for you to take home.

We will have a wide variety of subjects to shoot. From men, women and children!

Great opportunity to capture a variety of images!
